Breath is my first solo short film. I've always had an interest in dance so I thought a film with a short dance sequence would be fun to work on. I wanted to challenge myself on body mechanics and cloth animation hence the clean line animation with no colour in the latter half of the film.  I enjoy experimenting with textures and wanted to show the change between the land and sea using this. The land has rough brush strokes and in warmer tones in contrast to the soft cool blues of the sea.

As this was a solo project, I had to learn to manage the production on my own by creating spreadsheets and gauging potential pitfalls in my work. It was a great learning experience as I had to view my work with an unbiased lens and be critical of it without being too emotionally attached to the work.
